fluid is a General Motors and Ford Motor Company licensed
and approved super-premium multi-purpose power transmission
fluid meeting both General Motors Dexron ®
III and Ford Mercon ®
specifications. This fluid is
designed for passenger cars and trucks, off-road vehicles,
agricultural equipment, and other applications requiring
an automatic transmission fluid. Northland Dexron ®
III / Mercon ®
is formulated with premium quality
base oils and utilizes a shear-stable viscosity index improver
providing excellent performance in low temperature operation
and exceptional high temperature stability. Special friction
modifiers are added to give a smooth positive shift action.

III / Mercon ®
provides outstanding performance
in friction retention, oxidation, and thermal stability,
anti-wear protection and corrosion resistance. The use of
this multi-purpose power transmission fluid reduces the
risk of misapplications as well as reducing product inventory.

plastic parts and clutch plate materials.

for General Motors Dexron ®
III (G-34214) and Ford Motor Company
Mercon ®
(M-990404) and can be used in all applications specifying
this type of automatic transmission fluid. (with the exception
of the pre-1980 Ford specification of M2C-33F) Northland
Dexron ® III
/ Mercon ®
is recommended for service fill in automatic transmissions
of certain vehicle models from the following manufacturers:
General Motors, Ford, Chrysler, Volkswagen, Nissan, Honda,
Subaru, Mitsubishi, Toyota, Mercedes-Benz, Isuzu, Fiat,
Audi, Alfa Romeo, BMW, Peugot, Renault, and Porsche. Northland

is also recommended in Allison Automatic Transmissions and
meets or exceeds the approval and performance criteria for
the Allison C-4 type fluid and the Caterpillar TO-2 performance

hydraulic fluid meeting performance specifications of Denison,
