Northland Diesel Guard is a fully formulated, heavy-duty engine coolant / anti-freeze. This premium quality, ethylene glycol-base engine coolant is intended for use in on and off highway heavy-duty diesel engine applications where additional protection against wet sleeve linear pitting and corrosion is essential. This unique corrosion inhibitor package eliminates the need for the initial charge of supplemental coolant additive (SCA) now required by most diesel engine manufacturers. This state-of-the art coolant formulation meets and surpasses the most demanding quality and performance specifications for both heavy-duty diesel and automotive vehicle applications. Northland Diesel Guard is phosphate free, and meets the ASTM D-4985 low silicate specification.

Application:

Northland Diesel Guard will provide exceptional corrosion inhibition and freeze protection when diluted in a 50% / 50% concentration. For maximum protection, utilize high quality water which is low in dissolved solids and undesirable contaminates, or select the prediluted Northland Diesel Guard. If possible, thoroughly drain and flush cooling system before using Diesel Guard, and top off cooling system only with this coolant to maintain proper inhibitor balance. Although there is no need for an initial charge of supplemental coolant additive (SCA) when using Northland Diesel Guard, it is good maintenance practice to monitor inhibitor levels on a regular basis by utilizing a coolant analysis program and adding SCA as necessary. Engine coolant concentration level should not fall below 40% for proper inhibitor protection.
